MEETING TRANSPOSE – TRANSFUSION AND TRANSPLANTATION: PROTECTION AND SELECTION OF DONORS PROJECT

TRANSPOSE – TRANSfusion and transplantation: PrOtection and Selection of donors – is a European consortium project, including partners from 16 countries, reviewing donor selection and protection policies for substances of human origin (SoHO).

One of the main issues in the current donor selection system, which TRANSPOSE aims to tackle, is that most criteria are not evidence-based. The TRANSPOSE consortium tried to re-assess selection criteria, revised them and provided recommendations as evidence-based as possible.

TRANSPOSE will provide suggestions to improve directives and guidelines and a Donor Health Questionnaire, focusing on both donor health protection and safety of donations.

On 24 and 25 February 2020 a TRANSPOSE Dissemination and Education meeting is held in Rome (see save the date and project leaflet).

More details about the meeting are available at the following link: https://www.transposeproject.eu/news/save-the-date/. The registration link will become available as of January 6th, 2020.
